Head dobla of Pedro I, changing the traditional obverse legend with the royal titulature for the religious phrase that appeared in the outer border of the double obverse legend of the new silver reales created by the king: DOMINVS MICHI ADIVTOR ETEGO DISP. Until now, this legend was known only on the dobla from the Vidal Quadras collection, no. 5665 (plate 13). This coin is similar to that specimen, now of unknown whereabouts, except for the ending of the royal reverse legend, where LEGIONI is reduced to LEGION, while retaining the Seville mint mark in the fourth quarter. It is therefore the second known example with this peculiar feature in the obverse legend.
