Wife of Emperor Carinus (283-285), who had been elevated to power by his father, Carus, when the latter departed to campaign in the East. After his victories, Carus also granted imperial status to his second son, Numerian. During her husband's reign, Magnia Urbica held the titles of Augusta, Mater castrorum senatus ac patriae. Little is known about her, except that she was the mother of Nigrinian, who died in childhood and was deified.
